We decided after a long day of walking yesterday that we wanted a more leisurely day today, but we also wanted to make sure we checked the Prague sights off everyone’s lists. So after a bit of a late start (and grabbing a chai, of course), we began to work on our list:
1. Astronomical Clock. Is it touristy and a bit overrated? Yep. Can you skip it? Nope.
2. Jewish Quarter — Molly was particularly interested in this part of the city after reading about the Golem whose dust still lives in the attic of the Old Synagogue.
Lunch break at a lovely restaurant on the river with stunning views of the Charles Bridge and Castle complex.
3. Lennon Wall
4. David Cerny’s Babies
5. Boat ride on the Vltava (I think most everyone’s favorite part of the day. It was just the six of us on this small, wooden boat on a lovely ride along the river with a charming captain who shared her knowledge and love of the city.)
When travelers on the River Vltava leave the city, Lady Prague holds out torches to light their way. Hopefully, she’ll light the way for us tomorrow as we leave Prague and head to Dresden and Leipzig.
