The girls have been out of school for almost two weeks now, and I’m loving every minute of it (well most of the minutes, at least)! Here they are on the last day. (Quite a change from this day.)
I’m so proud of them — Molly shined in Kindergarten, loved her teacher, and made lots of new friends! My favorite quote from the year was one day when I offered to pick her up a little early, and she protested saying “I like my whole day!”
Jane Anne excelled as well, especially in her reading. She read 4,867,689 words this year — quite a feat! (To put that in perspective, Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows is just under 200,000 words.) She was in the top 2 readers in her school!
They both love school, but we are all ready for a change and a calmer schedule — time to play in the sprinklers and have lazy family fun!
