Bluebonnets

While I loved our time in Aggieland, there’s not much in Abilene I would trade for living in College Station again. And, yet, at this time of year I do long for bluebonnets.  On our drive to Houston for the wedding, we saw quite a few fields full of wildflowers.  Highway 36 had quite a bit of color, and on our way home we took some backroads and saw even more.  These pictures were between Plantersville and Navasota on Hwy 105.

I would guess we were still a little early for the full bloom, but they were gorgeous, nonetheless.
