Turkish Delight

Okay, we don’t really need an excuse to hit Mr. Smit’s Sweet Shoppe, but we went today in search of Turkish Delight.  We’ve been reading The Lion, The Witch, and the Wardrobe, and poor Edmond is lured in by the White Witch with Turkish Delights.  We had to see what they were like.

Ready to try them (and read for the night).

The sugar coating was a hit, but the jelly-ish inside not so much.  It’s a little hard to love flavors like orange, rose and pistachio.

The White Witch would have to try something different with us… Dairy Milk, maybe?

No temptation for the girls or for me. Yay. Check your dma for updates on which airport we are stuck in. Hoping to be there soon.

Haha, told ya it was a funny taste. Glad they’ve had the experience of it though. Maybe they’d be lured more with some noo-tella! 😉

I always wondered what Turkish Delight tasted like. Thank you for trying for me. I think I’ll pass. White Witch would have had to use something different here too.

Love your adventures and all the discoveries along the way! Pretty sure the sweet shop wasn’t there when we were, or there might have been daily trips for us….though not for Turkish Delight. Loves to all!!!

What fun! I am living vicariously through your adventures. I am catching up quickly on posts read and trying to be a better friend. Think of you lots. Try some more candy for me and Syd.
