Trains, trains, and trains

We are in Paris right now, and I can’t get my computer to connect to the wifi, so I’m just updating from my phone.

We spent most of the day traveling — walked to the train station, took the train from Oxford to London, took 2 underground trains from Paddington to St Pancras, rode the Eurostar through the Chunnel to Paris, took two Paris metro lines, and the walked to our hotel — all with a suitcase, backpack, stroller and two children in tow.

And, yet it was magical because we are in Paris! We came out of the metro at the base of the Arc de Triomphe — stunning. We made our way to a charming little hotel. We ate dinner on the Champs Élysées. Then we saw the Eiffel Tower lit up and glowing with twinkling lights (in the pouring rain).

Hopefully, I’ll be able to post pictures before I get home Sunday. If not, you’ll get an onslaught then.

For now you’ll have to settle the glowing “Paris Tower” I bought Molly for way too much money.
