Christ Church College

Founded by Cardinal Wolsey in 1524 (before he fell from Henry VIII’s favor), Christ Church College is stunningly beautiful.

That’s the Cardinal in the middle.

This is Tom quad — the largest quad in Oxford — and Tom tower.

See the little door between the pillars?  In the 19th century, they found hay there that had been used when Charles I kept his horses in the church during the English Civil War — Cromwell was hanging out up the street a bit.
