The Art of Doing Nothing

Based on my lack of blog posts, you might assume that after our friends left to head back to Chicago, we just lay around all day reading books and snuggling with cats.  Well, yes… and no.  While JA did ready 34 Boxcar Children books over the course of the summer (yes, literally 34!), we did a few other things between mid July and the beginning of school.

For instance, JA went to Art Camp.

We rode bikes a lot — and JA got a new bike because she learned to ride her old one without training wheels.

We visited dear friends in Edmond,

on our way to Nashville (to pick up Bill from his b’day fishing trip), where we had Krispy Kremes,

and went to Libscomb,

before we headed to Louisville to spend some good times with family.

But mostly, we did just hang out, relax, read, play, and spend lots of time with family and friends.
