About a month ago (I know, I know, I’m really behind in blogging) Jane Anne and I headed to Washington DC to visit Jozie and sightsee.
Jane Anne and I read about all sorts of things to do and she (mostly) chose the agenda. We started at Air and Space and she loved the space part of the exhibit most.
The next day we headed to the National Gallery and then back to Air and Space to hit a few areas we missed. We walked all around the Smithsonians which were absolutely gorgeous at that time of year.
After meeting Jozie for lunch I forced JA into one more museum — Natural History — which she liked a lot more than she thought she would. That girl loves rocks.
The next day we met Jozie at Eastern Market — absolutely wonderful — and then headed to the mall and monuments.
We walked, and walked and walked that day, and Jane Anne was such a trooper. The next day, we took it easy, slept in, and then took the Metro the the Zoo.
Our last day there, we headed to American History in the morning.
We had such a great time. Jane Anne didn’t want to leave. She loved riding the Metro, seeing the museums, walking everywhere. Mimi, Wayne, and Katie Barnard were gracious hosts. We had a perfect time.
